Katie Holmes Sets Her Sights On Broadway

Katie Holmes

E! News reports that Katie Holmes has been in discussions to take a starring role in an Arthur Miller revival.

Katie would play the lead in the Tony Award-winning drama "All My Sons" in her Broadway debut.

Holmes would play Ann Deever, a young and vivacious woman whose pilot beau, Larry Keller, went missing in World War II. Having fallen in love with his brother, Chris, and knowing that it was the actions of Larry's father, Joe, that led to his death, Ann tries to convince the young men's mother that Larry is not going to be coming home.

Katie's done some decent work:  she was awesome in Pieces of April, and really good in Thank You For Smoking.  But does a career that consists mostly of playing Joey Potter prepare an actor to play with the likes of Dianne Wiest and John Lithgow?  If I were Katie and faced with co-stars of that caliber I'd be messing my shorts!
