If you ask the nanny, Rob Lowe hasn't changed much since his days of bedding 16 year old girls and putting it on tape. However, this nanny may also tell you that Santa Claus and Smokey the Bear propositioned her during an environmental conference in San Diego.
According to TMZ, Jessica Gibson claims she suffered sexual harassment and battery from Lowe and his wife, Sheryl. She alleges that Rob "groped her", showed her his penis, asked her to "touch his penis", and repeatedly masturbated in front of her. REPEATEDLY? I would think the first time would be enough to make Gibson quit, but she's apparently had some REALLY bad bosses in the past, so watching Rob punch his munchkin a few times wasn't so bad. Rob's wife didn't help, either. Gibson said Sheryl walked around naked and talked about her sex life with Rob in graphic terms. Gibson is seeking more than $50,000 in damages.
Of course, this suit is actually a response to Rob's accusation that Gibson tried to extort $1.5 million in 'hush money' from the couple. On the 'Today Show' with her lawyer, Gibson was asked about the allegation. She said nothing but her lawyer, Gloria Allred, chimed in and said that no inappropriate demands were made - never actually denying the allegation. Interestingly, Gibson quit the nanny gig three times. She repeatedly returned claiming she needed the money - $18/hour - but sources say she was working at a doctor's office in Santa Barbara for the same pay while not with the Lowes. Apparently, the doctor's office was just not as stimulating as watching Rob's one man show and entertaining the idea of giving a $1.5 million hand job.
Look, sexual harassment is a bad thing. Sexual battery is much worse. But the details of this story won't even get the judge breathing hard. Unless Gibson was wearing a wire in some undercover sting operation, her return to the scene of the crime makes no sense. Did I mention she didn't even file a police report? We all know litigation is the American way nowadays, but please, let's try getting rich and famous on our own merits sometime. I know it's a novel idea, but give it a go.
Lets her boss jack off in front of her? Repeatedly? Damn, I thought my college job at Pizza Hut sucked...and I only quit it twice.
