Madonna: Love It Or Hate It?

Photobucket

I find myself in this dilemma with many a red carpet dress, and here I am again:  I just don't know what to make of this dress.

On one hand, I love the beading.  Or is that the fabric?  I can't tell.  Anyway, it's great.  And although I hated the two-toned effect at first, the more I look at it, the more I like it.  I even like the flapper fringe.

On the other hand, this dress either needs to either have sleeves or not have sleeves.  It would look fine, if a bit mature, with sleeves.  It would look fantastic with just the modest shoulder strap.  But this fence-sitting business doesn't work at ALL.  It's just adds too much busy in a dress with a lot going on already.  And the belt just seems like an afterthought - it doesn't match anything, and looks way too casual for a red carpet.

So help me decide... love, hate, or just - eh?
