Ruben Studdard's Big Southern Wedding
Craziness! People has learned further details on American Idol Ruben Studdard's wedding to Surata McCants.
Studdard's rep confirms that the pair will marry this weekend at Canterbury United Methodist Church in Birmingham, Alabama. He will have at least 20 - TWENTY! - groomsmen, and they'll all be nattily dressed:
Studdard and his groomsmen will wear black Joseph Abboud tuxedos from local outfitter Mr. Burch Formal Wear, the source says. The groomsmen will wear black shirts with black vests while Studdard will wear a white vest and a white hand-tied bow tie.
Now I have to wonder, which one decided they wanted 20 attendants, and how hard was it for the other to scrape up 20 people to stand up with them? I don't think I could come up with even ten people I'd want to ask! Who do they think they are, the Windsors? Seriously, though - do you think Clay Aiken is in the wedding party? And do you think Simon Cowell is invited??
