Everyone's been talking about Gwyneth Paltrow's new haircut this week, including me. The first thing I thought when I saw it was, "Thank The Gods of Ken Paves AND Vidal Sassoon, Gwynnie cut her hair!"
Don't get me wrong, her 4.7 feet (so I exaggerate a bit) of long, straight, blonde hair was really pretty. But when you get to be in your mid-30s, hair needs to be cut in an actual style or you just start to look like you're trying to be Rapunzel, or a kid. (And I can talk, because Gwyneth and I are the same age. Well, to give her proper credit, she's about 6 months younger than me.)
Anyway, she looks gorgeous. I love the length, the layers, the way it frames her face. She looks like the Oscar-winning stunner she is. You can see why her husband would have written a song for her, no? (Although that might just be a rumor. But it's still the only Coldplay song I even remotely like.) It almost makes me want to forgive her for naming her daughter Apple.
And this is all extra exciting because she hasn't always done so well in the fashion department. Let's hope this new 'do marks a new trend in Gwyneth's style evolution, and not just a high point.
