Are Reese and Jake Having LDR Challenges?

Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal are "struggling to maintain their relationship" according to Star Magazine. 

Not only has Jake been on location filming his new movie, The Prince of Persia, but he's working nearly around the clock, which limits the amount the couple can communicate.

"This is his first epic, and his mind is on his work," a pal of Reese's tells Star. "They talk on the phone and e-mail, but he's not 'there.' Reese is wondering if this is how it's going to be between them every time he's out of the country filming."

Long distance relationships are hard, let me tell you, so I can definitely relate to that.  It sucks!  Reese and Jake are planning to spend the holidays together, which Star's source says  "will get them back on the same page."  Hopefully that's true - I'm rooting for these two.

UPDATE: Reese and Jake Not Engaged After All

Well, it was a fun rumor while it lasted, but Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon are apparently not engaged.  People reports on their reps' statements:

"They are not engaged, getting married or any of the reports," the reps tell PEOPLE exclusively, calling the reports "lies."

I have a feeling they will eventually though.

Reese And Jake To Be Married By Christmas!

Jake Gyllenhaal has reportedly been telling friends and coworkers that he and Reese Witherspoon are engaged!   A source on the set of his new movie The Prince Of Persia said:

‘He told me he had proposed several times but she kept telling him she wanted to give their relationship more time. When he asked her again a couple of weeks ago, she finally said yes.’

And apparently he's got a date in mind already:  he wants to be married on or around his birthday (December 19), after his movie wraps. 

I could not have thought of a more perfect Hollywood couple than Jake and Reese.  The holidays is a great time to get married.  Congratulations to them!

Reese And Jake: "Perfect"

Kristin Chenoweth spilled the beans about her Four Christmases costar Reese Witherspoon and her yummy beau Jake Gyllenhaal. 

When asked what the pair are like as a couple, she told Us Magazine, "Perfect!"  - and confided that she'd "happily double date with Witherspoon and Gyllenhaal."

Chenoweth is currently dating writer/director Charlie McDowell, whose mom is Mary Steenburgen.  Who knows, maybe she'll get her wish?
