Joe Francis Tries to Profit from Pedophilia...Again

"Girls Gone Wild" creator, Joe Francis, has only been out of the clink for a week and is already looking forward to making money off of underage girls again. After initially offering former Spitzer-whore, Ashley Dupre, $1 million to promote his smut video empire, he found what he calls "a winning lottery ticket." It appears that Ms. Dupre had already "posed" for "Girls Gone Wild" in 2003. In fact, she spent about a week with the GGW project. Therefore, all rights to her ass - figuratively speaking, of course - belong to Francis. So much for that payday. When he found out about her videos, he promptly withdrew his offer. Francis' reaction was almost a slap in the face to Dupre, but hey, that's show business. If you really want to call it that.
There is a major glitch in his plan, though, that he doesn't seem to think is a problem. When Dupre "posed" for those pictures she was only 17. Francis doesn't seem at all bothered by this development, however. He claims that he can't be prosecuted for it. According to him, Federal and Florida law permits Dupre to be filmed in "any state of undress" as long as she consents and there's no sexual contact. Well, sounds like our kiddie porn magnate is off the hook. Except for the fact that he just might be lying.
According to ABC, Francis said that during Dupre's week with GGW she "shot several full-length tapes that included nudity and same-sex contact." So the question is, what is same sex "contact?" There's something very Clintonian about that. Does contact mean grinding up against another girl while fully clothed, making out with another girl, or numerous other things that two or more naked girls could do together. My point: When a naked man rubs up against a naked woman and/or kisses that woman, according to statutory law, that's sex. And, though predatory scum like Francis who use stupid teenage girls to make them rich might think otherwise, he'd be profiting from a crime. Sorry Joe, that's illegal too.
Look, I'm one of the first guys to admit that men are hardwired to look, and even fantasize, about fully developed girls; some of which might just barely be 16. It doesn't make us monsters. What does, though, is coercing, enticing, and coming on to these girls for sex or profit. They're too young, stupid, and impressionable to know what the hell they're really doing; much like boys. They might not look like it, but they are children, regardless of how many middle-aged men drool over their TV screens in the middle of the night. What Joe Francis does is more that exploitation, it's sick.
At least Joe will get - yet another - day in court. He's still up on tax evasion charges for illegally deducting $20 million in bogus business expenses. His trial begins on April 29th. Just one more reason why guys like this should be put out of business.
