New Book Blames Break Up With Johnny Depp For Kate Moss' Drug Problems

Kate Moss' so-called friends have spilled about her life in a new book, Kate Moss by Laura Collins, reports The Daily Mail.  They blame Kate's 1997 breakup with Johnny Depp (who supposedly introduced her to authors such as "F. Scott Fitzgerald, Jack Kerouac, Truman Capote and Hunter S. Thompson") for her turning to hard partying and "hedonism" in order to forget the pain. 

When their three-year relationship ended

Kate's reaction was to begin living at an unsustainable pace, physically, spiritually and emotionally, and abandon herself to partying.  She demonstrated an iron constitution and a capacity for alcohol that earned her the nickname 'The Tank'. She would later admit she had been 'bang into drugs'.

The following year, when she learned that Vanessa Paradis was pregnant with Johnny's child, "Any hopes [Kate] harboured of a reconciliation with Depp ended."    It was then that she supposedly realized that she "needed help" and checked into rehab for the first time.

She would go on to continue trying to heal the pain of that breakup by dating nasty Pete Doherty, with whom she did even more drugs. 

Oh no!  Look what you did, Johnny Depp!  And not to belittle Kate's addictions, but I am sure that I'd be thoroughly devastated if I broke up with Johnny, too.   I mean, JOHNNY DEPP!  *swoons*

Johnny Depp To Marry Vanessa Paradis

Get out your hankies, ladies!  Johnny Depp is getting married.

After nearly 10 years together, Johnny is marrying Vanessa Paradis.  She's a French singer and the mother of his two children, Lily-Rose (8) and Jack (6).

Depp famously said:

“For all intents and purposes, we are married.” But, he assured, “If she ever said, ‘Hey, let’s get hitched,’ I would do it in a second.”

Vanessa must have said the word, because the wedding is planned for this June.

While the 12 year old girl in me wants to weep, I really do wish the best for them.  They seem like a genuinely great couple, and he is so humble about his fame.  Mazel Tov!

Johnny Depp Heroicallly Saves Lives

It was only a matter of time before I blogged here about Johnny Depp.  For slave2celeb's sake (he just gets nauseous) I intentionally didn't say ONE WORD about J.D. being asked to do condom ads.  That was hard to do.  Believe me.

But now Johnny's purportedly a hero, so I hope my baby will forgive me for spilling my adoration all over this blog.  According to News of the World (which is why I say "purportedly"), Depp saved the lives of six extras on the set of his new movie Public Enemies.   Says contactmusic.com:

Depp, 44, was shooting a scene as bank robber John Dillinger when a stuntdriver in a 1933 Ford car sped onto a patch of ice and skidded towards six extras, who were standing with their backs turned, oblivious to the danger.

But never fear, Depp is here!   According to an eyewitnesss:

"Johnny slammed into the group with arms outspread, shoving them all back."

What a guy!

Now facts are fine and all, but I'm kind of partial to Showbiz News' version of the story:

...as he approached the group of six, his wingspan increased from its usual six feet to about 8 or 9. In the background, theme music from the Six Million Dollar Man began playing. Amazingly everything turned to slow motion, and Johnny flew through the air, placing his arms around the entire group, while at the same time, lighting a cigarette and bursting into a song from Sweeney Todd.

Immediately after he saved the group of six, Johnny’s co-stars Christian Bale and Billy Crudup broke down in tears and claimed they were not men enough to do what Johnny had done.

Johnny checked on the group and then called his long time love Vanessa Paradis because he calls her every hour on the hour and because of the adventure had missed their call by 30 seconds. He also checked on their child, and told Vanessa that he would be late getting home because he was going to give blood and then go stand on a street corner until he sold 100 of her albums.

Well?  It could have gone down that way!  Right?  Ladies, I know you're with me on this one.  Men?  Stop snickering, I can hear you through the monitor, you know!

I posted the picture above because I had never seen it before, and since Johnny's not a media hound you don't get that many new photos of him.  However, there's a picture of him on his movie set looking rather dapper as John Dillinger here.   Now excuse me while I go fan myself...
